My Method
I believe therapy is about walking with my clients as they search for meaning and wellness and learn the appropriate skills for managing life's stressors. We all have a story to tell, and my work consists of helping my clients create a narrative of a life worth living. I am compassion-focused and collaborative as I have found that when my clients feel involved in the therapeutic process, they are more invested and motivated to do work that they choose themselves.
Being a human is hard. Together we evaluate the parts of your life that no longer work for you and find new and adaptive ways to relate to the people you love, communicate openly, feel deeply, and allow your emotional experience without judgment. We work on finding ways for you to learn to regulate in the presence of difficult circumstances because life really can get tough, but after every low there IS a high, and there is inherent beauty in the change that is inevitable for each and every single one of us.
